Each year Brighton hosts the
Brighton Festival, a 3-week arts festival in May, and the festival kicks off with the Children's Parade on the first Saturday morning. Almost every school in Brighton participates, and it is an amazing, colorful spectacle that winds it way through the heart of Brighton and ends on the seafront.
Sloane participated in her school's samba band, and their theme was the Wind in the Willows. Sloane was a real trooper as she had to carry a big drum the whole parade, but she made it the whole way and had a great time.
